How to machine wash your rain jacket

If your rain jacket needs more than a surface refresh, it can be machine washed. Just follow the steps below to clean it safely and maintain waterproof performance.

1. Check before washing
Always read the care label to confirm your jacket is machine washable.

2. Prepare your jacket
⋅ Empty all pockets.
⋅ Zip up all zippers and fasten all snap buttons.
⋅ Turn the jacket inside out to protect the PU-coated surface.

3. Machine wash your rain jacket
⋅ Use a cold water programme (30°C / 85°F).
⋅ Add mild detergent (no bleach, softeners, or waterproofing additives).
⋅ Wash with similar colors.
⋅ Rinse thoroughly to remove soap.

4. Dry properly
Hang to air dry completely before storing to prevent mould or mildew.

5. Refresh your jacket
⋅ Steam on low heat to remove wrinkles.
⋅ If ironing, place a cotton cloth between the iron and the jacket — never iron directly.

Reminder: Always check the care label before washing, drying, or steaming.
